Maryland students and would-be students submit essays
explaining their life and educational goals. Maryland Mensa
judges select the best of the essays submitted and send the
most suitable to the Mensa Foundation for a national,
regional and local awards competition. In addition, our
local judges choose one essay to receive the Maryland Mensa
Lee Morrow Memorial Scholarship, which is supported by our
local auctions and donations. An essayist may receive more
than one award. (That has happened!!) Awards go directly to
the winners. Winners will be announced in the Spring of
2008. In order to receive an award, each winner will be
asked to certify enrollment in a degree program in an
accredited U.S. institution of post-secondary education for
Fall 2008. The Maryland Mensa Scholarship Program is Chaired
by Marsha Stodolski.
